I don’t know if anyone has written/said exactly something like this (I would guess someone did!) but it came to me when I was listening to an Oscar Niemeyer’s interview regarding Fidel Castro. He said that Fidel was one of the last to fight against the so-called “American Empire”. Of course he fought it, so he could create a communist one.
