   Interesting fact, the reason you need four satellites to resolve a GPS position is not due to the idea of intersecting bubble around each satellite (signal delay X C = radius of bubble) but because you have four unknowns to solve for, x, y, z, and time difference, so you need four satellites, which gives you four equations, to solve for four unkowns.
