I don’t understand the US

It seems to be a great country, a nice society, but sometimes it gets too nutty and idiotic. I don’t think a person who has more than 1 billion dollars in the bank, makes any sacrifice by doing what this idiot did. And while I’m at it, golf is not a sport.

The point of the title and article being referenced is that he wouldn’t be making any kind of sacrifice unless he sat out the Masters, a tournament that matters much to him. Just one person’s point of view. But the point wasn’t to say that his apology was a true sacrifice.

I don’t know if I agree with you. I think the quote was taken from Dan Weitzel’s column (the über douche columnist at Yahoo), but I haven’t read the column. Missing a Masters for a billionaire is no sacrifice, if he thought before hand about the consequences.
